Welcome to the NewRuins™ Discovery Site for the Deer Island Project. The purpose of this site is to provide people with prior business, family, or historical knowledge of Deer Island to review many of the images and historical information we are working with to develop the full public version of the website. Deer Island is located in the American channel of the St. Lawrence River north of Alexandria Bay, New York.

Please look through the materials presented on this Disovery Site and if you have any knowledge about the various items presented, just click on the "information" button that is closest to the item you wish to comment on. A simple form will pop up in a small window. Remember to submit the form before returning to the main window.

Your input is very important. Don't let the thought that something you know is too small or too obvious ... it may be very helpful! We want to tell the story of this island through the structures built on it, the people that lived and worked in them, and the incidents that led to their current state of ruin.

Wherever you see the button shown to the right, a form to submit information relating to the associated picture or text is available.

If you have information that does not relate to any specific item on the Discovery Site, please use this General Information Form.
